Our Physical Therapists:
Dave earned his BS in Exercise Science from the University of California, Davis with an emphasis in sports medicine and athletic training. While studying there, he gained valuable experience in the treatment of sports injuries working with their athletic training program and from personal experience during his four years of Track and Field with their NCAA Division II Team. He completed his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University with honors in 1999. Over the past 10 years he has taken numerous continuing education courses in Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Sports Physical Therapy including post graduate courses from the Institute of Physical Art with Gregg Johnson, PT and with a special emphasis on Functional Mobilization techniques. He always emphasizes a hands on approach to serve a wide range of patients including patients with chronic pain to elite athletes. Dave also specializes in cycling and running injuries. Through personal experience with endurance cycling and taking specialized courses in bike fitting, he has developed an effective method of treating cycling injuries that combines proper bike fit, pedaling mechanics, and hands on physical therapy treatment. A lifelong resident of Sonoma County, Dave resides in Santa Rosa with his wife and three children. He enjoys outdoor adventures with his family and long bike rides on the local trails and beautiful roads of Sonoma County.
Lori received her Master of Science degree from USC and continued her education to earn a specialty certification in Manual Therapy from the Institute of Physical Therapy, St. Augustine, FL and a Certificate in Women's Health Physical Therapy from Texas Women's University in Houston. She has over 25 years of experience, successfully treating a wide range of patients. She is very active in the running community and has expertise in the treatment of running injuries. Lori has a keen eye for posture and body mechanics and utilizes her years of experience to help her patients reach their goals in an encouraging and positive environment. Her other specialties include women's health issues such as osteoporosis prevention, exercise training, and fall prevention. As a certified manual therapist, she is particularly skilled in the assessment of joint and soft tissue dysfunction that are the cause of many chronic pain problems. Additionally, she enjoys speaking Spanish and serving the needs of Spanish speaking patients. Lori enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband and two children and participating in community activities here in Sonoma County.
