FAQs

YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR/BRING TO PHYSICAL THERAPY?

Relatively loose or stretchy, comfortable clothes are always recommended. If your issue involves your neck or back, wear a tank top or sports bra; if it involves the lower body, opt for shorts. For cycling problems, bring your cycling kit and shoes. For running concerns, bring your shoes.

DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION OR REFERRAL TO GET PHYSICAL THERAPY TREATMENTS?

Here in California, we are a direct access state and a licensed physical therapist can evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries, but with some limitations that your therapist will discuss with you. We always like to stay in close communication with your physician with your permission to maintain continuity of care.
